day one - as sweet as oroblancos

didn't miss the tube much today. actually didn't think of it at all until i decided to practice a bit of yoga with steve ross's "inhale" which was on my late tivo. not a problem, as this gives me a great opportunity to explore some online yoga classes, like this one, or, this other one here.

moreover, the no tv plan gave me the perfect excuse to gracefully decline invites to two superbowl parties. and, even better, while the game was holding most of the city captive, i got to enjoy a leisurely trip to the gym, and then whole foods. at both places, i was joined only by other ladies, the gays and the euros.

as a side note, i went to costco yesterday (otherwise known as the saturday before superbowl sunday), and it was a different story, entirely. i could smell the red-blooded, heterosexual, all-american testosterone in the air as i approached the parking lot of the warehouse. and inside, it appeared that every superbowl party within a five-mile radius was aptly represented by at least two red-blooded, heterosexual, all-american male ambassadors. i could have stayed all day.

back to the day at issue.

the main reason i didn't miss tv today was because i spent most of the day tooling around on the inter-web. much of my time was spent exploring my new favorite online community, twitter. there, i'm known as @sproutwit.

truth be told, i had replaced my tv time with online time, hour for hour. was it time spent being more productive, active, stimulating? jury's still out on that ... but here's a sampling of what i have to show for it:











overall a lovely day. at whole foods, i even found oroblancos, one of my faves! how lucky for me (:
